Position: Butcher
Reports To: Packing Manager
Job Description:
The Marin Sun Farms production butcher is responsible for butchery work at our USDA-inspected meat processing facility. All butchery work must be accomplished on-time and to specification, in accordance with safe meat handling regulations, and uphold MSF’s commitment to quality.
Responsibilities — All applicants must have previous knife experience!
Experience in a state or federally certified butchery facility preferred
Willing to work any shifts offered, also work overtime when available
Perform cutting, portioning, and packing of meat
Practice proper lifting techniques and personal safety precautions
Maintain a clean, organized work area at all times
Correctly use and maintain all equipment
Practices proper food handling including sanitizing of work surfaces, proper hand-washing, product rotation, etc.
Work as part of a dynamic fast-paced team
Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisor or lead butcher
Experience with Spanish language preferred
