Marin Sun Farms - CSA Host Pick Up Site Program

To create a fully functional, community based CSA program, the difficult challenges associated with distribution must be overcome.

Distribution Challenges:

           1)     Getting the packages to a convenient location.

           2)     Providing reasonable hours for delivery and pick up.

           3)     Keeping packages frozen.

           4)     Accepting and providing feedback to members.

Aside from working to satisfy the above challenges, certain requirements must me met to be considered:

Requirements:

           1)     A secure cool space available to store a large cold storage tote, or having alternative cold storage available.

           2)     A person who is available, responsible, and organized, with adequate knowledge of the program, to facilitate MSF deliveries, membership pick ups, and direct individual members needs.

           3)     Access for delivery of packages prior to membership pick up.

           4)     Having access to ice/dry ice to keep the cold storage tote cool if necessary. (this cost can be collected from members individually, if necessary)

To address these challenges, that are vital for a successful program, we are interested in receiving inquiries from responsible parties who can make a serious commitment to our efforts. Persons who currently host other CSA's, businesses, household professionals, community group facilities, and anyone that can reasonably satisfy the requirements on this page, is encouraged to apply to be a host pick up site.

Compensation:

Our Hosts will be compensated for their efforts by receiving 1 free package, per delivery/pick up day.

          4)     Signing Up Members

          5)     Make first delivery, providing host with a list of members picking up along with any special circumstances.

          6)     Continue month by month, bring in new members, meeting new people, sharing meals and experiences!!
